Don't Miss a Beat: Free Life-Saving Skills Training at Sidewalk CPR

Sidewalk CPR will take place on Saturday, August 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., across 13 outdoor locations throughout Marin County. This event is free and open to all ages. 

Organized by the Marin County Health and Human Services (HHS) Department in partnership with local emergency services agencies, hospitals, and community partners, this county-wide event empowers residents to step in and save lives in an emergency.

In just a few minutes, participants can receive training in:

  • Hands-Only CPR – the lifesaving technique proven to double or triple survival after cardiac arrest. 
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use – a simple device anyone can use to restart a heart. 
  • Stop the Bleed – how to control severe bleeding in emergencies. 
  • Narcan administration – how to reverse an opioid overdose quickly and safely.

Medical emergencies can happen at any time, Marin EMS encourages everyone to take a few minutes on Saturday, August 16, to learn or refresh their lifesaving skills.
